space&designstrategies, University of Arts Linz, Austria, since 2004

Senior Artist

"The starting point of my work is people and their imaginary worlds. I am particularly interested in the transition from analogue to digital (or vice versa) and the emotional expressions that accompany it. As a Senior Artist at the University of Art in Linz, I aim to work with students in an experimental, immersive and organic way. “Impossible is nothing, Just do it' could serve as an initial mantra. Two slogans from competitors, combined to create a new one". (BS)

tracer: Writing as Praxis (2024)

A tracer is a person, substance, object, or advice that tracks or follows a particular process. We use this notion to experiment with storytelling and to identify potential stories. We aim to improve writing skills and build up a feedback culture. We do it like with every other material: we learn by doing, while sharing, and being not afraid of a try and error approach.

tracer: Out of Focus and the Ethics of Viewing (2025)

This tracer explores the relations of archives, images and texts. How can we challenge traditional ways of looking, viewing and archiving? This course is based on the research project: Conflict and Cooperation and the exhibition Out of Focus. Leonore Mau and Haiti

City Model (2025 - ongoing)

City Model (CM) is a collaborative work of NO-queens and NO-kings studying space&designstrategies at the University of Arts, Linz. With building the CM we search for a city we want to believe in.

The CM was founded on 04th March 2025. All buildings, inhabitants and uses can be modified by the participants. This model is under permanent transformation. The moment one looks at the model is always the present moment. The model serves as a tool for fabulation. Therefore we create games, films, costumes, merchandise, etc. that invite the public to interact with the model. We like to trigger human imagination as we need this power in times of crisis. The model is an easy entrypoint to encourage the public to share concerns and wishes. So, take a risk and visit the City Model.
