With #flagged, U5 presents fragments of a digital archive created between 2007 and 2023. During this period, self-built cameras streamed images from the everyday life of the collective and its surroundings to the internet every two seconds. Over the years, millions of photographs accumulated - snapshots suspended somewhere between documentation, surveillance, and memory.

 

Since 2023, the server on which the archive is stored has no longer been maintained. The work accompanies this gradual loss by extracting individual images from digital storage, printing them on satin, altering them, and framing them behind acrylic glass. The result is a series of post-digital image objects: fully materialized in plastic and derived from petroleum.

 

#flagged asks not only what we choose to preserve and what disappears, but also what we produce and how our relationship to images has changed in a post-digital world.

 

Everything that was once streamed is still there - even if we no longer remember it.
